Samsung R&D Institute Ukraine (SRUKR) and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (KPI), recognized as Ukraine’s leading university, have enjoyed a decade-long collaboration that consistently delivers mutual benefits and fosters innovation. This partnership continues to thrive, with SRUKR recently hosting, as part of a great 6-year tradition, a mentorship program for 18 bachelor students. This time, 2 new faculties from KPI joined the program, bringing the total number to 5.
The program, conducted in April-May 2025, was designed to provide students with practical insights and hands-on experience as they approach the final stages of their bachelor’s studies and prepare for their thesis defenses in June. The initiative was structured into two key components:
This program underscores SRUKR’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and creating value through collaboration. By offering students real-world exposure and mentorship, SRUKR aims to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators and researchers.
"It’s a great pleasure to interact with new, young faces from academia. I’m happy to help people learn, discover new things, or understand what knowledge they are lacking. Moreover, for me, these events are opportunities to practice my teaching and presentation skills. They are like a brief version of postgrad studies, with little to no usual postgrad responsibilities, such as the obligation to check homework or the need to prepare entire year lecture materials" said Oleksandra Sokol, SRUKR engineer, who has participated as a mentor in the program over the last several years.
The success of this initiative is a testament to the enduring partnership between SRUKR and KPI. SRUKR expresses our sincere gratitude to all colleagues who contributed their time and expertise to ensure the program’s success.
SRUKR remains dedicated to strengthening its collaboration with leading Ukrainian universities and exploring new opportunities to drive innovation and education in the years ahead.
