Purpose Meets Progress: Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh Q2 Townhall

On June 26, 2025, Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD) hosted its Q2 Townhall at the SRBD Cafeteria, bringing together over a hundred employees to celebrate the institute’s accomplishments in the first half of 2025 and set the stage for continued success in the second half. The event, themed “Purpose Meets Progress,” served as a platform for reflection, recognition, and forward-looking strategies.

The Townhall commenced with an introductory speech by S M Shajjad Hossain Shajib, Manager of Project Management, who emphasized the importance of aligning purpose with progress to drive innovation and excellence. Following his address, Team Heads took the stage to present their teams’ achievements and outline their goals for the remainder of the year.

Md. Manjurul Karim, Head of the Applications Team, kicked off the presentations by highlighting key accomplishments and strategic focus areas for his team. Raquibul Hasan, Head of the Wearables Team, followed with a detailed overview of his team’s milestones and objectives for 2025. Lastly, Mohammad Zuberul Islam, Head of the Innovative Solution Team, showcased his team’s contributions and shared their plans for the second half of the year.

The event reached its pinnacle with the presentation of employee awards by Wonmu Ku, Managing Director of SRBD. These awards recognized outstanding individuals whose exceptional efforts had significantly contributed to the institute’s success.

Following the awards, Mr. Ku expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the recipients and addressed all employees, congratulating everyone on their achievements in the first half of the year. He also motivated all employees to carry on in this fashion, encouraging them to strive for an even stronger and more impactful second half.

To conclude the Townhall on a lively note, S M Saifullah Ahmed organized a fruit-themed quiz contest as a precursor to the SRBD Fruit Festival. Winners of the contest were rewarded with fruit baskets, adding a festive touch to the proceedings. Following the Townhall, all SRBD employees were invited to partake in the Fruit Festival, where they enjoyed an array of local seasonal fruits, including mango, lychee, and watermelon.

The Q2 Townhall not only celebrated past achievements but also reaffirmed SRBD’s commitment to innovation and collaboration as it moves forward into the second half of 2025.
