Also at Forum were several panel discussions about importance of open innovation and transparency in Academia implementation. Researchers from different countries (Republic of Austria, The Netherlands, Slovak Republic, Republic of Poland, Republic of India, and other) agreed that only the principle of all stakeholders, constant experience exchange, and common efforts for science promotion could engage the best young Ukrainian minds into the science.

«Our big goal is to promote science in Ukraine. We would like to stimulate investment in innovation and start-ups. For this purpose we need more publications, patents, “stars” of this field in Ukrainian universities and companies. And such kind of forums plays a great role and stimulates communication between universities, young scientists, and companies», said Olga Radyvonenko, who is the Lab leader at SRK, and who was one of the keynote speaker at the Forum. Participants of the Forum met her speech about innovative features in Handwriting Recognition Solution (HWR) for Samsung Note 10 and Samsung Tab S6 with great interest.

Samsung’s HWR has proven its status as the world-best handwriting recognition solution at ICDAR-2019 (International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition, Sydney, Australia) and UIST-2019 (User Interface Software and Technology Symposium, New Orleans, USA). Also Olga introduced Samsung Research and SRK to the participants in order to arouse interest in young people to join SRK professional team.

Moreover, it was an occasion to share the information about the possibilities of cooperation between young scientist and SRK. For example, SRK could become a place for student’s internship. In addition, students could study on the Dual Master Program, which SRK had launched for the first time in Ukraine in cooperation with Ukrainian universities.
