Samsung R&D Institute China – Nanjing Make Great Effort To Brings New SmartThings To Chinese Users

With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series in China on January 25th, 2024, the new Samsung SmartThings is officially available to Chinese users. Previously, It was known under the name SamsungConnect. SmartThings Station products are also set to hit China market in the end of January. With supporting cutting-edge connectivity Matter protocol, users can expect enhanced compatibility with a variety of devices, ensuring a seamless and integrated smart home experience.

At the launch event, four user-based scenarios were unveiled for SmartThings smart home: Video Entertainment, Intelligent Housekeeper, Energy-saving Intelligent Control and Comfortable Sleeping. In the above scenarios, SmartThings provides convenient and novel experience for Chinese users, which greatly enhances the usability and practicality of smart home products.

By co-working tightly with Device Platform Center, Samsung R&D Institute China – Nanjing (SRC-Nanjing) has made significant contributions including service development, SmartThings App development and hub-everywhere development, to provide comprehensive support from the cloud, client and hub. At the same time, in order to secure more complete product experience, SRC-Nanjing has also achieved favorable results by collaborating with various partners to expand the SmartThings ecosystem in China (4 partners & 25 devices).

SRC-Nanjing has also collaborated with Digital Appliances to bring Home Care and Clothing Care to China. Home Care has already been launched to offer troubleshooting instructions, user guides, and visual aids to assist you with solving any problems that may arise. Clothing Care is set to be available soon with new clothing care supported washer and dryer products.
