Samsung Philippines Starts its 2022 Developer Communities Workshops

While Samsung is most known for its state-of-the-art digital appliances and mobile devices, what most do not know is the work that it puts in to complement hardware with excellent software applications to ensure the delivery of the best possible experience for its users.

This is one of the thrusts of this year’s set of Samsung Developer Communities Workshops—increasing awareness of what is being done by the company to support its products. In doing so, more are educated about Samsung solutions and further cement Samsung’s leadership in technology and innovation.

The workshops commenced with the De La Salle - College of St. Benilde, in partnership with their student organization, Association of Information Management (AIM). The workshop was part of the organization’s week-long celebration, Information Systems Program Week (IS Week), with the theme: Expanding Horizons in the Physical and Virtual World. A virtual event, Samsung was given an opportunity to talk to students about various technology topics, including Galaxy Wearables and its Open Source initiatives, as well as provide a hands-on workshop on creating watch faces through the Watch Face Studio. Participants were also given a chance to present what they have created and were given Samsung giveaways as rewards for the hard work.

The attendees learned a lot about Samsung, including what opportunities they already have even as students should they pursue these technologies.

Samsung Philippines’ next leg of workshops will be with the Ateneo de Naga University, which will be a face-to-face event. We wish that our series of workshops will help increase students’ love for technology, and give way to breakthrough innovations benefitting society.
