On the 7^th of September, 2022, Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD) organized their Townhall program for Q3 of 2022. It presented a great opportunity for all employees to look back at the past few months, where they acclimatized to working at office after years of working from home.

The event was organized by R&D Operation Group, with the aim of highlighting the achievements of SRBD during the quarter and to award the top performing employees for Q3 of 2022. This year’s theme for the Townhall was "Contemporary Challenges, Collective Solutions".

In the beginning, Wahidur Rahman (Head of R&D Operation Group) gave a marvelous introductory speech to start off the program. After that, S. M. Saifullah Ahmed (Head of GA & Security) said a few words on how our employees must keep vigilant against Covid-19 as the pandemic is a constant part of our new reality.

Next, Tarique Rahman Khan (Head of HR) gave a presentation on the recent workplace improvements made in SRBD. He provided insight on how SRBD employees could enjoy these privileges and make their experience of working here more enjoyable. The added amenities include GWP activities, paid vacation, health insurance support, and gym facilities.

Later, a live performance session was organized, where some of SRBD’s talented employees performed on the stage to entertain everyone in the crowd. Emon Biswas (Wearable Experience Group) performed beautiful renditions of popular Bangla songs, and Iqbal Hossain (NC Experience Group) made the crowd burst into boisterous laughter with his hilarious standup comedy routine.

Afterwards, Wonmo Ku (Managing Director) was invited on to the stage to present the employee awards for this quarter. Some of SRBD’s most talented and hardworking employees were given recognition for their contributions.

The Managing Director then ended the program with an invigorating speech, where he highlighted how much progress SRBD has made towards meeting their goals for this year. He also placed emphasis on the current global economic situation, and how everyone can overcome such difficulties by sticking together as a team.
