On 16th June, Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD) organized the Townhall program for the Q2 of 2023. This event provided a great opportunity for the employees of SRBD to plan ahead for the second half of 2023.

This Townhall was organized to discuss SRBD’s plans for the future and to award the top performers of Q1 2023. The theme for this Townhall was ‘Bringing Calm to Our Lives’.

Fostering Innovation and Employee Well-Being
The event started with a marvelous speech from Tarique Rahman Khan, Head of Management Support Group. Later, he shared numerous management updates with the employees, including news regarding team activities and new steps taken to improve mental health support.

After that, Md. Manjurul Karim, Head of SW R&D, gave a presentation detailing the areas of focus for SRBD engineers in the remaining half. Next, Wahidur Rahman, Head of R&D Operation Group, presented the innovation updates and the upcoming activities to meet the organization goal.

The Managing Director of SRBD, Wonmo Ku, was then invited onto the stage for presenting the employee awards, where SRBD’s top performing employees were recognized for their contribution to the organization.

Lastly, the Managing Director concluded the program with a wonderful speech, where he emphasized the importance of staying calm and paying attention to respective mental well-being and health.

The program was followed by a Fruit Festival where employees enjoyed seasonal fruits such as mangoes, berries and lychees. In Bangladesh, the Summer season is particularly known for many mouth-watering fruits and this festival provided the perfect occasion for the employees to satisfy their craving for these fruits.
