Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD) proudly concluded the April 2025 batch of its Junior Software Academy, an initiative designed to equip school-aged children with essential ICT skills for the digital future. As part of Samsung’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts in Bangladesh, the academy emphasizes technology education as a means of empowering young learners.
The closing ceremony was held on June 27, 2025, at the SRBD campus, where 30 enthusiastic students from schools affiliated with the NGOs Jaago Bangladesh and Nari Maitree celebrated their achievements. Over the course of the program, participants explored foundational IT skills, including basic computer operations, graphic design with Photoshop, introductory programming, MS Office applications, and fundamental mathematics. They also gained hands-on experience in Android development and coding, offering them a glimpse into real-world tech environments.
Beyond technical skills, the academy introduced students to the history of Samsung Electronics, allowing them to discover the company’s landmark innovations and explore its leading technologies firsthand. The program, which commenced on April 18 and ran through June 27, 2025, culminated in a certificate presentation ceremony, recognizing each student’s successful completion and celebrating their growth.
Through the Junior Software Academy, SRBD continues to nurture digital literacy and creativity in Bangladesh’s youth, contributing meaningfully to the nation’s expanding tech ecosystem.
