This year, Samsung R&D Institute Philippines (SRPH) seeks to set the tone of our organization by introducing a brand new culture statement, in line with SRPH's core values. In 2024, we are Shaping the Future, Together.

This statement lays the foundation for a collaborative, growth-focused, and forward-thinking company culture—one that is committed in harnessing the synergy of our diverse and unique talents and perspectives to pioneer positive change and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. Our core values of Excellence, Learning, Ownership, Innovation, and Integrity represent the fundamental beliefs and guiding principles that shape our actions and decisions as an organization. These values act as a compass, directing us towards a shared purpose and ensuring that we remain true to our mission and vision.

Inspired by these words, SRPH's key visual for the new culture statement features one of the Philippines' National Cultural Treasure, the famous Banaue Rice Terraces. Carved into the mountains of Banaue, Ifugao by the ancestors of the Igorot people, this heritage site was not only shaped by its people, but in turn also shape the lives of those people as well by providing them with sustenance while also helping to cultivate Ifugao tradition and their shared cultural identity. Dubbed as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", the Banaue Rice Terraces serve as a testament to what we can create together, and how our creations eventually shape us in return.

At SRPH, we are equipped with the tools needed to succeed. We are empowered to heed the call to surpass expectations, strive for continuous improvements, seek solutions, challenge existing thinking, and adhere to the highest standards of ethical and moral principles. "Shaping the Future, Together" is a call to action, a promise of what can be achieved -- and that is to come together and shape a future that inspires, empowers, and sustains us all.
