Continuous Multi-Factor Authentication
This talk will motivate the need for a continuous multi-factor authentication (CMFA) system for smartphones to improve authentication security and usability. We will explain our CMFA solution that has been deployed on the latest Knox 3.8 release to strengthen Knox security. We will also explain the concept of using trusted location (e.g., homes) information to automatically unlock phones, and discuss its security and usability implications.

On-device confidential computing
On-device confidential computing provides an execution environment for any app on user device that needs to protect sensitive data not only at rest but also in memory by leveraging a newly introduced ARM architecture, ARMv9 CCA. It even enables protection from strong adversaries such as compromised OSes, kernels and hypervisors. We expect on-device confidential computing to open up many new opportunities for end users, and we share our vision in this talk.

UTopia, Automatic Fuzz Driver Generation Using Unit Tests.
Fuzzing is, arguably, the most practical way to find security bugs in software, yet demands a non-trivial amount of efforts in adoption. We propose UTopia, an open source tool and analysis algorithm that can automatically synthesize effective fuzz drivers from existing unit tests with near zero human involvement to tackle this problem. We have applied it 55 open source projects and discovered 123 new bugs, which demonstrate its effectiveness and scalability.

How to protect your data privacy on Galaxy phone?
We are committed to securing user's data no matter what. To make it more secure, Samsung galaxy device provides best-in-class hardware-based security, by combining Android security and the Knox security. We will introduce how it protects not only sensitive data such as passwords, biometrics, and cryptographic keys but also user data against both software and hardware attacks.
