Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD) organized the final round of the SRBD Code Contest 2024 on November 15th, 2024, at its premises. The vastly popular code competition featured over 2500 participants from more than 90 educational institutes of the country. From these, only 50 made it to the final round of the event.

The chief guest for the event was Dr. M Sohel Rahman, Professor at the Department of CSE, BUET, and newly appointed member of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

The competition started with two online rounds, where competitors solved problems designed to test the overall programming capabilities of the participants. The final round took place at the SRBD premises, and the questions set for the round were difficult, with little time provided for the contestants to solve them.

The Champion was Md. Rakib Hossain, from Comilla University. Mushfiqur Rahman Talha, from the Islamic University of Technology, and Umit Saha, from Jahangirnagar University, were 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively. 7 more competitors were awarded with medals and prizes to round up the Top 10.

After the final round took place, a closing ceremony was organized to award the winners with prizes. At the ceremony, Mr. Wonmo Ku, Managing Director of SRBD, addressed the winners of the competition and praised them for their hard work and effort. Afterwards, the MD handed out the awards and prizes to the top 10 contestants.
