On February 5, 2026, Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD) celebrated its 16th Foundation Day, marking a significant milestone in the organization's storied history. The event was held at the SRBD cafeteria with hundreds of employees in attendance.

The celebration began with a heartfelt video message from Hosung Jung, the former CFO, wishing SRBD prosperity in the coming year.

Following this, quarterly and annual awards were presented, along with Long Service Awards for employees celebrating their 15th work anniversaries at SRBD.

Next, a fun quiz contest about SRBD history was held. Employees participated spontaneously, and five winners were selected.

Later, the esteemed Managing Director of SRBD, Mr. Wonho Ryu, delivered his inaugural speech to SRBD employees. Expressing his enthusiasm for embarking on his journey with SRBD, he encouraged engineers to pursue innovation while emphasizing AI and discussing future opportunities for SRBD.

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.
