The result of the document review will be announced on July 27 on the website and to the team leaders.

In this Samsung AI Hackathon 2018, we offer 1month membership at Fab Lab, Digital Fabrication Laboratory, to help you implement your team's idea.
Fab Lab is a space where you can make your ideas come alive with the latest digital fabrication equipment (3D Printer, Laser Cutter, CNC Router etc).

We will have a session regarding Digital Fabrication and How to use the Fab Lab at the offline meeting on August 7, and the membership will be provided only to the teams applied.
Fab Lab Seoul is located at the Jongro Sewoon Electronics Plaza, Jongro-Gu, Seoul.

Fab Lab is a space where you can make your ideas come alive with the latest digital fabrication equipment (3D Printer, Laser Cutter, CNC Router etc).

Fab Lab is an open space to everybody that can easily implement their ideas. The first Fab Lab was founded by the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms, and now the network of Fab Labs have reached more than 1,200 labs across 100 countries.

FabLab Seoul was established by CEO SanKo in 2011 under the non-profit organization "TIDE Institute" as the first FabLab and makerspace in South Korea. It was opened in April 1st, 2013, located in front of the Chunggye Stream at the Jongro Sewoon Electronics Plaza. 

FabLab Seoul strives to empower people through making and various methods of education by utilizing digital fabrication technologies through innovative education we are focused on proliferating the maker movement.

This is a guideline for participating teams who live in foreign countries except for South Korea.

For overseas participating teams,

1. The Preliminary Team Presentation on July 31st can be replaced with a video interview.
- If you want to replace it with a video interview, you must prepare an environment such as webcam, microphone, etc that you can interview with.

2. The face-to-face mentoring on August 7th can be replaced with online mentoring.
- Mentoring will be provided online (e-mail, etc.).

3. If your team goes to the final round on September 8th, all team members must attend the final round venue.

If necessary, we may request proof of residence abroad.

[Idea Contest Submission Guide]

This contest is designed to provide a platform where participants can submit their ideas on Artificial Intelligence technologies and bring these ideas into reality.
Please refer to the guide below before submitting your ideas.

 

1. Idea Contest Topics

 "Ideas that can contribute to the advancement of the human society using electronic products and Artificial Intelligence technologies"

- Ideas for new features or services ideas that apply AI technologies to existing electronics products.
   
- Ideas for AI technologies based products or services which do not exist.
    
- Any other ideas utilizing AI technologies.

2. How to submit the Ideas

- You can submit your ideas from July 2 to July 24, 11PM in KST.

- There are no set formats for the submission of ideas. Please submit it in a format that is most optimal for your idea (PowerPoint presentation, video, etc.).

- Please download the Idea Contest Participation Form from the Idea Submission menu on the main page, submit it with results of your idea as a compressed file, following the format Idea_TeamName_Subject.zip.

- Only the team leader may submit the results, otherwise, it will be disqualified.
